Hello, I'm Seunghyun Hwang, a 3D Generalist based in London.
I graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a degree in Digital Animation BA (Hons) - 3D Games Art and Design in September 2021. In December, I joined Lola Post Production as a 3D Generalist. While working there, I had the opportunity to work on two outstanding projects: 'Dangerous Liaisons' (2022), an American period drama TV series by Lionsgate+, and 'Bad Sisters' (2022), a drama TV series featured on Apple TV+.
I have a strong passion for 3D environments, particularly in the creation of 3D building models. However, as a 3D generalist, I possess a diverse skill set that includes modeling, texturing, layout, look development, lighting and camera tracking. The software I primarily use includes Houdini, Maya, Substance Painter, Nuke, SpeedTree, ZBrush, 3D Equalizer, and Unreal Engine.
I was drawn to the generalist role by the opportunity to work with a variety of software, and this experience has deepened my overall understanding of VFX, leading to even greater satisfaction in this profession.
After my involvement in several TV drama series at Lola Post Production, I jumped into a training program as a 3D DMP and Environment Artist Trainee at Technicolor. This training played a crucial role in sharpening my 3D generalist skills, which turned out to be priceless when I came back to the company and continued making contributions to a range of projects. Notable among them are the Netflix nature documentary series 'Our Planet 2' (2023) and the Netflix documentary drama series 'Alexander the Great' (2024).
I always enjoy sharing ideas with my colleagues and greatly appreciate the guidance of supervisors. Working collaboratively not only brings me great satisfaction but also fosters significant personal and professional growth. If you're interested in working with me or would like to have a conversation, please don't hesitate to reach out to me through LinkedIn or Email.
